Tokyo Ghoul Tokyo Ghoul Re / Season 3

Tokyo Ghoul re Anime is already 4 episodes in, and we have a lot more stuff that we need to go over. Previously, it was reported by several sources that Tokyo Ghoul re anime was supposed to have 12 episodes, just like we used to get before Tokyo Ghoul re. Amazon listed the series for 12 episodes, and Anime News Network announced it as a single cour anime. But, now we have news that Tokyo Ghoul re Anime is actually going to have 24 episodes.

Tokyo Ghoul re New Episode Schedule

This was confirmed by Yonkou Productions yesterday, and he is the best news source that you can find anywhere right now. With that being said, I’m extremely happy that anime will go on for 2 cours. We have a lot of stuff to look forward to, and wrapping that much in just 12 episodes is not possible.

Right now, the anime is in the Auction House arc, and we have the Rose Extermination arc after that, which in my opinion is one of the best arcs in the series. The anime opening has already spoiled stuff that comes even after the Rose Extermination arc, so it made no sense for the anime to have just 12 episodes, or to expect them to wrap the series up within just 12 episodes.

But, thankfully, it all makes sense now, as 24 episodes are just about right for the series to wrap up the Rose Extermination arc and some of the stuff following that as well. As far as the anime adaptation goes, I still think they’re not doing a good job. Most of the stuff that we see has no impact at all. They have already skipped over tonnes of important things, and above all, the pacing is just too fast.
